Abstract
Six years of the NSF-funded marine collections digitization program were a multi-institutional success, but we’ve learned lessons and times have changed. This symposium explores how new technology and new ways to share data promise to speed digitization and give digital specimens even greater value.
An optional hands-on workshop followed the symposium, led by Christine Johnson, to illustrate some AI approaches for processing specimen data.
